Marty Ray

: Visual artist

Artist Overview

Art Educator, Professor Emerita, North Lake College. Ceramic art is my speciality but I also create 2D and sculptural works. On my pottery, I draw (incise) and paint with underglazes and glaze. My work is shown through Craighead Green Gallery. I have a studio at home and also am a resident artist at the Goldmark Cultural Center. I recently completed art for a new DART rail station that is scheduled to open in December 2020. I founded the White Rock Artists' Studio Tour and continue to participate and coordinate it. I am a founder of EASL, the Emergency Artists' Support League and serve on the advisory board.
I've had several one person and group exhibitions. In Oct. 2019, my husband Richard and I were featured in a show of our collaborative paintings and pottery.
