A Cultural Center without Walls!

Community Arts Pop-Up Cultural Center spreads art to every part of the City and provides opportunities for artists, non-profit organizations, and residents of Dallas. We believe that every resident of the city of Dallas should be exposed to arts and culture!

If you would like to bring the Community Arts Pop-Up Cultural Center to your neighborhood, please send us a request.

The Office of Arts and Culture and the Department of Code Compliance of the City of Dallas are seeking female muralists/visual artists to beautify our neighborhoods. If you are a female visual artist or muralist who can envision a blank canvas in any space, this project is for you. This venture involves decorating a roll off container (20 feet in length and 7 feet in Height) which will be displayed in various neighborhoods in the City of Dallas as it is requested for Community Clean-Up events. This mural will celebrate the accomplishments of women in art which transcends over the span of decades.

Artists must provide proposals with a theme that is relevant to the rich artistic history and representation of women artists whose contributions to the arts have made our world what it is today.

“Murals on the Move” is an opportunity for artists to showcase their work around the city providing an artistic focal point in our Dallas neighborhoods as we enhance the look of our city one community at a time.  Artists are welcome to submit proposals as individual artists or artist collectives.

The artist(s) selected will be awarded $3,500 to complete the mural/visual art piece, plus a $1,500 award for supplies.
