Culture of Value is a micro-grant program created by the Office of Arts and Culture, Dallas Public Library, and Dallas Parks and Recreation. The purpose of Culture of Value 2026 is to support artists and arts and culture organizations whose primary programming and services are representative of the artistic diversity present in Dallas. The recipient shall provide a one-time artistic service that furthers Dallas’ “Culture of Value,” or the principle that the arts are essential to a thriving, equitable society within the city of Dallas (Dallas Cultural Plan, Strategy 14 – Support for Artists). Each funded project will receive up to $2,500.
Culture of Value es un programa de micro-subvenciones creado por la Oficina de Arte y Cultura, Biblioteca pública de Dallas, y Parques y recreación de Dallas. El propósito de Cultura de Valor 2026 es apoyar a artistas y
organizaciones artísticas y culturales cuya programación y servicios principales representan la diversidad
artística presente en Dallas. El galardonado deberá prestar un servicio artístico puntual que promueva la “Cultura de Valor”, o el principio de que las artes son esenciales para una sociedad próspera y equitativa dentro de la ciudad de Dallas (Plan Cultural de Dallas, Estrategia 14 – Apoyo a los artistas). CULTURE OF VALUE 2026
Beginning on May 26, 2026 at 5PM you can apply to Culture of Value 2026 at the portal link below. If recommended for funding, you may also use these web portals to submit your date/time confirmation and final report.
A partir del 26 de mayo del 2026 a las 5PM, puede postularse a Cultura de Valor 2026 en el enlace del portal a continuación. Si se recomienda financiamiento, también puede usar estos portales web para enviar la confirmacion del evento y el informe final.
In its third year, the 2026 Culture of Value program will continue to uphold the key elements from 2024 and 2025 that made it a success:
· Each artist or organization will receive up to $2,500 for their project.
· All projects must be a one-day, one-time artistic experience. The only exceptions are art exhibitions, which may stay up for up to one week, but they must still be accompanied by a one-day activation or event at the location.
· All projects must reflect what a “Culture of Value” means to the artist.
· The funded artistic experiences will all take place from September 1 –September 30, 2026
· The application review team will still include DPL and PKR teams alongside OAC staff.
· Artists and organizations will indicate their preferred locations along possible dates and times of their project.
· The application will allow artists to provide graphics for customized marketing
support.
En su tercer año, el programa Cultura del Valor 2026 continuará manteniendo los elementos clave de 2024 y 2025 que lo hicieron un éxito:
- Cada artista u organización recibirá hasta 2.500 dólares por su proyecto.
