OCA Recruiting For WRR General Manager and Administrative Specialist Positions

The City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs is seeking qualified applicants for the WRR General Manager position and for an Administrative Specialist II position in OCA’s administrative office.

The WRR General Manager will oversee all operations of Dallas’ municipal radio station, WRR 101.1 FM including programming, outreach and marketing, sales, and operations. The station, one of the top classical music stations in the country, broadcasts a classical music format to a hundred-mile radius of Dallas with a weekly listenership of over 300,000. As a division of the Office of Cultural Affairs, the station supports arts organizations of all sizes in their marketing efforts and promotes awareness of the arts in North Texas. The station operates as an enterprise fund within the City of Dallas, generating revenue through advertising sales, to cover its expenses. Revenue budget for FY 18-19 is just over $2.1 million.

The Administrative Specialist II will provide executive support to the department director, will serve as board coordinator for the Arts & Culture Advisory Commission, will assist with the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content on the OCA website and social media accounts, and will provide limited cultural project management.
