El Peso Hero Exhibition August 1 – 15 Latino Cultural Center El Peso Hero, launched in 2011 by Dallas-based educator and artist Héctor Rodríguez III, follows Ignacio Rivera, a reluctant Mexican American superhero endowed with super strength and unbreakable skin. The hero defends the disenfranchised along the U.S.-Mexico border, standing up against injustice and supporting vulnerable communities.
