Artist Bio & Experience

My fiction and poetry has appeared in over 70 publications such as The Offing, Fairy Tale Review, Masters Review, and Uncanny as well as in six languages. I was the featured author at LeVar Burton's Dallas LeVar Reads event. I have been a finalist for the Nebula Award, placed second for Selected Shorts’ Stella Kupferberg Memorial Short Story Prize, and won the Grand Prize in the SyFy Channel's Battle the Beast contest; SyFy made and released an animated short of my short story. I also curate the annual Art & Words Show in Fort Worth, which has been featured in Poets & Writers.
