Culture of Value Month

The Office of Arts and Culture is excited to bring you CULTURE OF VALUE MONTH 2026!

Culture of Value is a collaborative micro-grant program from the Office of Arts and Culture, Dallas Public Library, and Dallas Park and Recreation. 50 selected artists and organizations will execute one-day, one-time projects at various City of Dallas public libraries and recreation centers during the month of September 1 – 30, 2026. This program will reach two locations in every City Council District and will represent a wide range of art forms.

Selected projects are highly creative, unique, and fun for the whole family. From painting with yarn class and discussion of shared cultural history; musical performances and a screenwriting workshop! All will provide a service to the residents of Dallas and further the “Culture of Value:” the idea that the arts are essential to a thriving, equitable society within the city of Dallas (Dallas Cultural Plan, Strategy 14: Support for Artists.)
