Valery Guignon

: Multi Media Artist

Artist Overview

I've been an inventor and artist my whole life. I work in whatever medium calls to me. In the past I've worked in Porcelan clay, fabrics, steel and I'm a scultpural crochetter. It's all the same to me. I'm called to make art. Currently I'm best known for my hand dyed silk clothing line that sells in galleries nationwide. At the same time I'm an "art quilter" and still crochet. I had to give up my welding studio years back but now I sculpt with whatever materials I have on hand. I'm also a good practiced teacher of all the skills I've mastered. When people ask "What kind of art do you do?" I answer "Any kind I want".

Special Pandemic Services

I design and make stunning works of art to wear from tops, kimonos, jewelry and scarves of all kinds so if you have an event and want one of a kind art to wear please contact me. I have glowing references.
I can teach by zoom fabric painting techniques, Spirit Warrior doll making, bent wire sculpture.

Artist Bio & Experience

Award winning artist in High school, Graduated Pratt Institute in Industrial Design, worked for small Design firm in New York City before moning to No. Calif to get my masters in Hippie. taught myself sculputral crochet, sewing, hatmaking, and ceramic arts. My first co. was jewelry and macrome bead sculpted and fired out of porcelain clay. After that I started Guignon Designs dyeing, painting and inventing techniques to create my line of original, one-of-a-kind works of art to wear.
