Artist Overview

I am professional singer classically trained in opera, jazz, musical theatre, and gospel.  I am also a recording artist making my first R&B single "No Pressure" as a featured artist.  I am a professional actor here in the DFW area and have performed and worked with several theater companies including, Kitchen Dog Theatre, Lyric Stage, Rover Dramawerks, Bishop Arts Theatre, Addison Studio Theatre, MBS Productions and PlayNow Enterprises.  I've also worked with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Texas Wind Ensemble, Dallas Opera Chorus as well as sung with local churches, Christ The King Catholic Church, Park Cities Baptist Church.



Artist Bio & Experience

I am a native of Dallas, Texas and alumni of the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. I graduated from Mountain View Community College with an Associate of Arts & Sciences degree and from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor's of Music Degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education. I completed my graduate studies from Southern Methodist University with a Masters of Music degree in Vocal Performance graduated with a second Master's degree in Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University.

I have received numerous awards and honors during my music career, which includes acceptance into Opera Works Summer Intensive Program in Los Angeles, California, the Leontyne Price Vocal Arts Competition, the Meadows Foundation Scholarship from Southern Methodist University and a semi-finalist at the Dallas Opera Guild Development Grant Competition. I was also a member of the Dallas Opera Chorus for two seasons and did my debut with Lyric Stage as a cast member in Kismet and in "Pleasures and Palaces".  I was also cast in Lyric Stage musical production, "Desert Song" making her stage debut . I have sung in the World Premiere musical play, Slave Letters with Mark Brian- Sonna Productions in February at the Stone Cottage Theater in Addison, Texas and also performed in a Concert Series entitled, Hymns of Praise and Heartache, Songs of Hope presented by Mount Vernon Music in Mount Vernon, Texas.

Recently performed, "Abyssinia" with Lyric Stage at the Majestic Theatre in Dallas, Texas and made my NY Theater Critic Review with Front Row performing my stage debut with Rover Dramawerks, World Premiere of "Shouting Down A Quiet Life".  Also performed in the World Premiere "The Confessions of the Slave Nat Turner" returning with MBS Productions and made my stage debut touring with the stage play, "Watch Night: A Freedom's Eve Story" written and produced by former NFL Dallas Cowboys player Greg Ellis and T.K. Henderson.  I performed as a singer soloist as well as an understudy for the acting roles of Yolanda and Mrs. Jones played by the renowned actress Irma P. Hall.  I had the privilege of singing in honor of the legendary actress, Irma P. Hall for the Desoto Chapter of the National Council for Negro Professional Women and was also nominated in 2017 for an Irma P. Hall Award for best featured actress in the play, "Slave Letters".  I made my stage debut with Bishop Arts Theatre in the gospel musical, "Black Nativity" and was nominated for a 2019 Column Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role in "Black Nativity".
