: Professional Cellist & Teaching Artist
Hey friends! It’s a tough time being in quarantine and I wanted to let you know that I am a professional musician. Since all of my gigs have been cancelled, I’m trying to support myself by offering what I am calling the “Covid Concerts”. I am playing private concerts for people in their front or back yard, garden, or any space we can social distance.
Jordan Cleaver began studying cello at 8 under the private instruction of Dallas Symphony Orchestra cellist Mimi McShane. A graduate of the famed Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, she went on to study cello at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Now using the name Jones, she has performed with the Dallas and Atlanta symphony orchestras. Jordan also opened at the Dallas House of Blues for funk legend George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. She has performed for Prince Edward of England and former Prime Minister Tony Blair. She has also toured with the pop duo “The Veronicas.” Most recently, Jordan performed with singer and performance artist, Solange. Professionally, she is a teaching artist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Jordan looks forward to taking advantage of all opportunities that come her way.
